Help keep our neighborhood police!

  • 01 Oct 2023

The Prestonwood Public Improvement District (PID) was first established in 1997 and is up for renewal in 2024. The District consists of approximately 1032 residential properties. It is managed by the Prestonwood Homeowners Association and is the only purely residential PID in the Dallas area.

The only mission of the PID is to provide 24/7 police security to the residents within the PID district. Security is provided by off duty, uniformed, armed Dallas police officers who drive Dallas police cars. The PID employs experienced officers and makes Prestonwood a safe place to live.

Everyone in the Prestonwood Public Improvement District (PID) must vote to ensure the 10-year renewal of our police protection!

You have two options to submit your vote:

  • Vote electronically. A DocuSign request will be sent to each Prestonwood household for signature (one Docusign request per family). If you don't receive a DocuSign request, check with other family members to ensure your DocuSign petition is completed.
  • Vote by mail.  Print and fill outhe Prestonwood PID petition - click here One per family, please. Once completed, mail to:

                 Prestonwood Homeowners Association

                 P.O. Box 795682

                 Dallas, TX  75379

Don't delay!  We need you to vote!  If we do not receive your vote, PHA members will be canvasing the neighborhood (knocking on doors) to collect your vote!  You can learn more about the PID here.
